As Lyall Walson rightly said, “ Dance is surely the most basic and relevant of all forms of expression”.
Dance, a rhythmic movement to the beats, is something so simple yet powerful and elegant.
From hobby to passion to life, from North to South, from east to west, all of us have found solace in dance, as a medium to express what we feel.
But it doesn't stop there. Dance is what has brought us together. We all might be culturally diverse people, but we all speak the universal language of dance, which is by far the most impactful among all the languages.
Let us take an example of our very own country, India which is rich in diversity. It is not only a homeland to various spices or languages. But it also embodies various dance forms, from Bharatnatyam to Rouf, each and every state has a unique dance form to occur.
But if we ask ourselves what are the popular dance forms, we are pretty much sure that hip hop or contemporary might top the list.
How is it that we have forgotten so much about our homeland? Isn't it true that we are forgetting the beautiful dance forms?
Not only exotic animals, but exotic dance forms also need to be preserved and should be taught for generations to come. Dance is a way to express our culture, our heritage and we should never belittle that culture which is the very reason our country India, is known as a diverse country.
So here we are, Team Neysa ensuring that we contribute to protecting the dance forms and our own culture, taking a tiny little step by sharing our thoughts and information through this blog about the dying dance forms and to once again revive them.
Join us as we unravel each form and expression.
